In this interactive session, we explore the critical aspects of an innovation ecosystem, the role that various actors play, and the various approaches that are used to cultivate a successful ecosystem in an emerging market.

During the session, participants will have an opportunity to dissect and discuss the current and future state of the Haiti's innovation ecosystem, and map out ideas and scenarios for how to close these gaps.

Participants understand the content, are engaged during the session, are able to generate ideas, and contribute to the group discussion

  • about Jeffsky Poincy is the CEO and Founder of BUSY (Business-driven Solutions for Youth), an economic development organization whose mission is to promote and foster socio-economic empowerment of marginalized youth in Haiti by creating effective and innovative business-oriented solutions. He is involved in developing innovative and sustainable youth economic programs in rural context targeting enterprise development, pro-poor market development, entrepreneurship capacity-building, financial inclusion, life-skills empowerment and leadership among others. Jeffsky Poincy studied in Russia where he obtained a bachelor degree in Economics/Management and a master degree in International Project Management. Upon his return to his home country, he committed himself to the causes of the rural youth. He began his career in the Ministry of Youth as a Project analyst and later transitioned to the development sector as a Youth Economic Development
